The Revive ministry is a continuous moving body of believers dedicated to being used to expose the Gospel to Youth everywhere. One of our ways of accomplishing this mission is by hosting a huge free interactive conference for middle and high school students throughout our nation. This conference is led by college students who have felt the call to take back our generation through Christ. Not only do we want to share Christ with students, but we burn with a desire to fight alongside the weak to help battle addictions, as well as to encourage the strong to press on. Our hope is that by being real and vulnerable about our own struggles and troubles as developing Christ followers, that our sincerity will build a sense of community and strength within this generation's youth.
Unfortunately, many of our churches today tend to stray away from the topics that students are the most curious about, which happen to be the ones we all struggle with the most! The excuses vary from, "They won't get it", or "They don't deal with that stuff", or "They're too young, we should wait". The bottom line is that we are being trampled by the ambiguity of what's right and what's not in the search for our own identity through the pressures of "fitting in" with today's fads, when God meant for us stand out in our own uniqueness! Our main focus is to: We can't be afraid of speaking the truth to our youth any longer. Now is our time to rise up and take back our generation for Christ. We must be real. We must speak loving truth. We must reach out. We must never cease. We must take back our generation. Our Revive Conference is a strong blend of small group interaction during the day and deep, innovative “Revive Live” sessions at night. “Revive Live” is a strategic combination of LIVE and LOUD worship music, skits, games, and a dynamic message from our conference speaker Aaron Peters. Every summer, beginning in 2010, Revive will hold a FREE conference. In 2010, this conference will take place at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Greensboro from July 12 through July 16. Over time, Revive hopes to expand its presence into more and more cities.
The theme for the 2010 conference is Break Out. The focus of this conference will be on how students can break free of the bondages presented to them by popular culture and modern society and discover the Truth that can only be found in Jesus Christ. Revive is a non-denominational ministry that has the desire to bring students of all backgrounds into its conference, regardless of ethnicity, religious affiliation, or denomination. We take this approach because our directors believe in Christ's message of salvation for all, so everyone is invited. We expect all people involved with Revive's leadership team to believe in the following:
